Where the 10% goes.
Tell Me Over Coffee is an independent personal letter exchange, not a charity. I contribute 10% of my proceeds to charity.
I want to be plain about what this is. One person reads the letters and writes the replies. Contributions pay for that time and for the small everyday costs of keeping this space open.
The 10%
Ten percent of my proceeds is given to The South African Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG), South Africa’s leading mental-health NGO. They run free counselling helplines, over 200 free support groups and community outreach for people living with depression, anxiety and trauma. I am not a registered charity myself, so a contribution here is not a donation. It is not tax deductible and no donation receipt is issued.

If you would like to give to them yourself, you can do so on SADAG’s own donation page. Money given that way goes straight to the charity and is never held or counted here.
Contributions are optional
Every letter receives the same personal reply, whether or not anything is contributed. A contribution is a gesture towards the coffee and the time, never the price of a reply.
