Where the 10% goes.
Tell Me Over Coffee is an independent personal letter exchange, not a charity. I contribute 10% of my proceeds to charity.
I want to be plain about what this is. One person reads the letters and writes the replies. Contributions pay for that time and for the small everyday costs of keeping this space open.
The 10%
Ten percent of my proceeds is given to a mental-health charity. I am not a registered charity myself, so a contribution here is not a donation. It is not tax deductible and no donation receipt is issued.
Charity to be announced
Once a charity is chosen, their name will be shown here, along with a direct link so you can give to them yourself if you would like to. Money given that way goes straight to the charity and is never held or counted here.
The shared cup pool
The shared cup pool is a separate thing entirely. When someone chooses a cup for two, the second cup stays here and keeps a place at the table for a person who cannot contribute right now. It is not part of the 10% given to charity.
